Today another couple said "I do" to each other. I was honoured to be the one, to make a video of the whole wedding. Now I am sitting here in front of my computer, watching the raw material of every capture I took from the wedding. This will be a huge job to do with editing and making it something worth to watch, but 'cause I like it so much.. I really don't mind. :)

I wanna thank the newlywed couple for giving me the opportunity, to continue working as a hobby with something I love. Thank you!

Old MiniDV casettes to DVD

Hi there!

My cousin (twice removed) sent me a bunch of old MiniDV's to edit into DVD's. It will be interesting too see what I can do to these. A project before Xmas indeed.

Remember, if you want help with your old VHS's or MiniDV's, then contact me! Other stuff we can see if I can do something to them.. :)

New project

First of all let me just say that I knoow... that this blog haven't been updated as often as I would have hoped it to be. I'll tell you the reason why and it is simply because.. I've been too busy to sit down and write something.

But now folks, I will tell you that I've been offered to make a film for the school I am studying at. Oh that's right, I haven't probably told you that either. Shame on me! The thing is I started studying again... after about six years. I am studying Bachelor's degree in Business, hoping to become some kind of an expert in business and marketing. And also I am working 3-shift at KONE. My free-time nowadays is not much, but so far I am surviving.. I do have to admit that I am kind of tired too. But I am alive... still :)

Yeah, so what I was about to say is that my classmate, Anja asked me to come and film a happening at the school. The happening is called Kipinä - Gnistan (If I directly translate it in english it would be something like Sparkle?!) at Haaga-Helia Porvoo Campus.

Now I have almost all the materials I need to make the film, still waiting for some pictures and stuff to make something of it. I was filming a lot with my old digital camera, and now I have to put video materials for about 1,5 hour to a max. 4 minute length commercial! I can hear the stress calling. But hey, I've done it before and I will do it again. :) And the best part is that I will probably get studying points for this, so it's worth to sit in front of  the computer and sweat.... haha!

Funeral video

Last week I got sad news, another person has left this world, after a long struggle with sickness. So I am going to fix an old VHS to DVD movie as a momento of this person, starting today. I've understood that this VHS in particular is about 30 years old. It's going to be difficult, but I'll try.

Exciting

Tomorrow I will make films to the company I work for, they will be shown on the year festival November 3rd. EXCITING indeed. Because of copyright issues, I cannot publish them to internet. :(

The site has opened

Hi there and welcome to my new homepage/blogger site, where I will tell more about one of my dearest hobby; to make films and edit them. As some of you may already know, I have studied business for three years, including one year with marketing and customer service. Marketing has always interested me, probably ever since I was little when I saw many commercials on TV. One beautiful day I learned from one of my friends that there is a Windows program, that you can download and make movies with. I started with some small short filmclips and later, I discovered it was actually fun! :D So thereafter I have now made two wedding videos, a memory of -video of my father, who passed away year 2002 and a video from my trip to Italy year 2009. Just to make sure to you all, I do not take charge here of what I am doing in other words I am not trying to run a business here. :) This is just my hobby, and I love it and I do it for free :) Of course if the filming location is far away I take a little charge for fuel, nothing else! :) So If you want your own video of your wedding, christening of your baby, a party or other important thing, just contact me! And we will together plan your very own movie! :) Make sure to watch the video above, there are my contact information. One more thing, remember I will not film or edit any violent, pornographic or anything other illegal or disgusting movies! That's it for today! :)
